A pen, derived from the Latin word pinna meaning feather, is a tapered, slim and circular apparatus utilized for the application of ink on writing surfaces such as paper. There are many types of pens available in the market today, such as the very-famous ballpoint pen which gives out sticky oil-based ink by the motion of an undulating small hard sphere, a roller ball pen which allots a water-based liquid or gel ink through a round tip very much like a ballpoint pen, and the eponymous fountain pen, which utilizes a nib to deliver ink which is water based. As the world evolves, technology has advanced to such astonishing levels that we are constantly in awe of so much progress made in such a…. Click Here to Read More

The truth is that people don’t think a lot about waste baskets during their busy lives. They use them daily, get rid of all their waste and trash but they never pay attention to waste baskets. It doesn’t take too long in an environment without a waste receptacle until we realize how indispensable waste baskets really are. During the course of a typical day in the office, at home, in the kitchen and everywhere else we go, we are usually inundated with waste. In the office, we must deal with all the office waste, discarded paper, wrappers, discarded packaging and…. Click Here to Read More

To recycle means to save virgin raw materials and to re-process already used products; recycling has presently become almost a stand point one takes towards the environmental problems on our planet. All recycle ideas are common things throughout our modern history. Even before, in ancient times, metallic scraps were recovered for melting; then, when awareness increased that to recycle paper means to save forests, Britain founded the first waste paper association in the modern history of the world. Recycle ideas were more appreciated after the two world wars. In World War II all countries involved in the conflagration collected metals from their citizens, and in Japan, for instance, the…. What difference can one homeowner make to the environment? Why, when big polluters are making “green” changes, do we need to change our daily living habits? The answer is simple… children! By making slight and easy changes in the way we look at, and treat Planet Earth today, future generations of children will have learned by example. Teach the Children My children love the outdoors, because I expose them to it. They also love computers, and I am sure if we exposed them to fast foods they would love that as well. It’s all about making good choices and being a good example. I’m not talking about wearing hemp clothing or eating granola all day long although there are those who do. You do…. Green painting is using environmentally friendly paints and applying environmentally friendly painting and cleanup techniques. Green painting is not only good for the environment but it is also good for you in that paints can cause harm to you through the inhalation of dangerous fumes and from potential paint entering into our groundwater. While paint getting into our water system or groundwater is rare, it can occur as a result of improper painting cleanup techniques. An added benefit to green painting is that it won’t cost you any more than conventional painting. It’s just a matter of changing habits and taking a few extra steps to ensure a healthier painting experience for you and…. Click Here to Read More

Is Junk Car Recycling Helping or Hurting our Environment? The United Recyclers Group (URG) tried to measure the impact of Junk Car recycling in a new fact finding mission, focusing on the energy & resource savings of reusing and recycling parts such as steel fenders & wheels. Put together by the University of Colorado’s Environmental Engineering Dept, the report’s findings were based on the assumption that 11 million vehicles are retired every year.
