Question by Brock: would this be a good intro to a story? please comment! all are appreciated!? The pungent aroma filled my nostrils like the morning dew. Unfortunately for me, the warm steady streams of three other dirty, putrid homeless people followed it. It’s known as a poor man’s shower on the streets. When you don’t wake up early enough; well, good luck. A friend once told me, “Friendship is like pissing yourself, everyone see’s it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings. Well shit, I must have a lot of friends I don’t know about in New York. I pull the plastic up to cover my face; I think it’s a trash bag. Or what’s left of it anyways. But last night,…. by oskay Question by Bansuri Heartbeat: How can I control mice in my compost and prevent them from hanging out there in the future? I have been composting for a few years now, but only since last year have I been doing above-ground composting (I used to just bury it). I have a big plastic tube-like container that is freestanding and has holes all over the sides so the compost can “breathe,” and decompose more easily. There is no bottom and no lid. I put food scraps in my compost, as well as leaves from my yard and a good amount of soil to cover the food when it is added. I live in Montana where it is pretty cold from October to March. I know the mice are just bunkering down…. Click Here to Read More

Question by Loves Dogs: My rescue dog is getting more destructive every day what should I do? I rescued a 4 year old Golden Retriever/Great Pyranese mix. He has lived outside his whole life, ate table scraps, was matted, no vet, and not attention. We took him into our home and he has done great! Then he started eating the towels in is crate, then he busted out of his crate and ripped my curtains, then he destroyed the plastic tray into shreds. Then he jumped the fence, got out of the house, and jumped the fence again. What do I need to do with this dog? I moved his crate in front of the door so he can see out, put hooks on it, tied it with rope in hopes he’ll still be in it when I get…. Click Here to Read More

by Moosicorn Question by Susan Soltau: Can Anyone Help Me Diagnose my Betta Fish? Okay I’m having an issue trying to diagnose my betta fish Here are some photos of him here just taken earlier today: http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/album.php?fbid=1633702530174&id=1465012414&aid=2076774 Let me tell you guys a little bit about him. I had him for a little over a year at this nice pet shop called Reef Keepers. He was kept in 1/2 gallon bowl for less than a month of his life until I got him into a nice 5 gallon tank which is filtered and even though I don’t have a heater for him, using the 10 watt light bulb and a blanket over the tank (leaving openings uncovered for oxygen intake)…. Question by RS: Cat Behavioral Issues? I adopted two cats with my girlfriend last May. They are big males who get along great. They are young- around 2 or 3- and healthy. When we got them they were obese, but after a strict diet and exercise with the vet’s guidance they are lean and fit. They are very energetic, but we play with them frequently and take them out into our apartment building so they can explore while supervised. Since we moved to our small studio apartment and I have been with them more often I have discovered some behavioral issues: 1. Annoying us for food My girlfriend wakes up at 6:00 to commute to school, and feeds the cats after her shower. They are on a strict diet,…. Click Here to Read More

Question by Cristylle Knights: My writing. Is this good so far? Does it entertain you? “Hey there, sugar t!ts.” I quickened my pace down the stairs. “What?” He said smoothly. “You don’t want a good luck kiss?” I stopped to turn around and give him my favorite one-finger gesture. The corners of his cracked lips turned up slightly. “Why do you treat me like this Zita? Why won’t you give me a chance?” I crinkled my nose and scrunched up my face. “I’ll give you a chance when you get through puberty — if you ever reach it.” I replied coolly. His mouth bared a full grin now, showing his brownish teeth. “You’re so funny! You see, that’s why I love you.” I…. Click Here to Read More
