Planters warts, salicylic acid, moleskin & blister?

Child has planters warts on bottom of foot.
Dr. prescribed salicylic acid to be applied daily.
It is to be applied by cutting hole in moleskin & placing hole over warts. Then salicylic acid is to be put on wart. Plastic wrap is then to be placed over hole.
Okay does this sound correct to you?
I ask ’cause the Dr. talked so fast I want to make sure I didn’t miss anything.
Also he gushed out that when the wart looks blistered I am to scrap the blister off, (Ew, yuck). Is this correct too? Will this cause pain to the child?

You should try freezing or burning them off. It sounds like the acid isn’t working very well. Does not cause pain.
sounds about right, the wart should be able to be easily scraped off without pain if it has sufficiently wilted. With children you might get squirming but it shouldn’t hurt them. Freezing it off would be faster but can be painful. Don’t be afraid to call the doctors office clarification. for that sort of stuff written instructions should be available or made upon request
Planter warts can be very tricky to get rid of and very painful. It doesnt sound right to me to scrape off if blistered, I would call back the physcian the nurse should be able to go overr the procedure with you if the doctor is not able too. Dont feel imbarressed. You definatly dont want to guess or take advice from non professionals. Also make sure when bathing you clean the tub floors as a planter warts can be contagious and spread.
be very very very careful when using acid because you can damage skin very badly and even leave a scar!!
if you really want to get rid of warts forever then you should know that you can remove warts by surgery, freezing, laser, acid or with cream but warts can reappear again and again because warts appears when your immune system is weak! so you must build up your immune system because your body can get rid of warts by itself if your immune system will be strong! so eat more healthy food, more vitamins and more sport activities!

HPV is the virus that causes warts. And HPV virus has many strains. In your case you have HPV virus strain number 2. People can be infected with HPV and never show any symptoms.
