The new 3D pages load the pages up with tags, envelopes, journaling hidden behind pictures, memorbilia. You need access to these items. So you can’t put them into a sleeve. How do you insert them into your scrapbook. I have punched holes in them like notebook paper, but they do not lay correctly, They are so heavy they tear the punched holes even with the reinforcements.How do I put these into my albums , all the magazines and T.V. show is how to do 3D layouts , but not how to insert them into your book.

not quite sure about 2nd advice. what aree page turners? and how do you attch a second sleeve?
memphis qt: I can not adhere to the rule of just using what you buy in a store. . I am doing heritage albums also. I made a page with my mothers picture and used an old pin that she wore. In order to put the pin in( thickness) I used core board. 2 pcs back to back, then I put on the decorative paper. Then the pictures and memorabilia. by this time page was quite thick and heavy. also I have use pop-ups and fan folded items and Iittle bags of items that need to be taken out and looked at.

Adding 3D elements to a page usually makes the page somewhat thicker, I trim my paper first. So, if you’re using 12 x 12, trim 1/32 inch (1/2 cm) from each side to give you a little extra room. If your pages are really thick, you’ll need to use a 3D page. You can find them at http://www.showitallpage.com, they hold 3D objects up to 3/4″ thick. They are $20. Why are your pages so thick? Try using embellishments that are sold in scrapbooking stores/sections. I use them all the time, and they always fit into the plastic sheet protectors provided with albums.
i have also had this problem and have had to be pretty creative in how i solve it. here’s two ideas i came up with:
1. if you are going to hide journaling behind a photo (like on a tag) then put the page protector on as normal. using an exacto blade (or similar) GENTLY make a cut along the edge of the photo where you want the journaling to be placed. then simply slide the journaling tag under the photo- the end will lay outside the protector and still be accessible.
2. when you write inside a folder (or hide memorbilia inside) you can use the same technique as above and then slip the backside of the folder through the cut and attach to the page. take another page protector and trim it to fit the outside of the folder. attach. use photo turns to close the folder and keep everything inside.
