The tissue is advertised on Amazon as having a minimum of 80% post consumer recycled (P.C.R.) content. The product I received, however, states that while the box is 85% P.C.R., the tissue itself is only 20% P.C.R. This is pretty lame, I must say.
Also, it doesn’t come in the cool box displayed online with the green tree, but some strange ‘cloudish’ design that looks like it is from the 1980′s or something.
If 7th Gen. has changed the product, they should take the time to make sure that the resellers advertise with the most up to date info – shame on them.

I’m thrilled to buy from a company that uses environmentally responsible production processes and so conscientiously completes the recycling loop by making quality products from recycled materials. The facial tissue is probably not the thickest or softest product on the market but it is as soft and absorbent as most and excellent for everyday use.

It may be unfair to compare this to brands which use strong chemicals to soften the tissue, but if you’re looking for soft, this isn’t the place to go. It does do the job but the surface of the tissue feels much more like paper than cotton. I may continue to use it just to be more green but I do wish it were a little fluffier.

Between seasonal allergies (that didn’t stop because the warm weather didn’t kill off all the molds and allergens) and colds -especially in the elder kin – buying by the case was a God-send over the holidays. I was very glad to have many boxes of good quality facial tissues on hand when I’d rather be Christmas shopping for the fun stuff!

The tissue itself is fine, and the price and convenience of having it in bulk is great. Unfortunately, the quality control is not the best. The design of the tissues and box is supposed to bring the next tissue out after you take the top one. Starting a third of the way through each box, the tissues no longer pull the next one up so you are left digging in the box trying to find the edge of the next tissue! Then of course you end up grabbing 3-4, and either wasting them or shoving them back in the box. I’m two-thirds of the way through a case and EVERY box had this problem.
Perhaps it’s just the one case, but maybe not. I’ll update if we end up trying another case.
