They stated their employer was a Chinese buyer looking to recycle 6,6 fiber back into new carpet. I stopped the salesperson and said that that was impossible. I’m under the impression that 6,6 nylon has molecular bonds too strong to be De-polymerized into monomers to make new carpet fiber again. 6,6 fiber can only be made into denser materials like auto parts and injection molded stuff…not something….
