Question by Tutti: can’t get copper mold pan clean? after a failed attempt at rum cake, my copper mold pan has this sticky/hard stuff on it. It’s on the silver-colored inside, not sure what metal it is. Of course I can’t put this in the dishwasher, so I haven’t done that. I have tried to hand wash it, soak it and scrub, soak it and scrap with plastic spatula. All have gotten very little off. I’ve been able to scrap a little off with my nails, but the little I’ve scraped off, leaves a residue that can’t be removed. Don’t really know what it is that is stuck on it. It’s is residue from the dough I used. Any suggestions? I can’t use it again until I can clean it. Thanks for your…. Click Here to Read More

Does anyone know how a wire chopping machine works? How the grinder AND the separation of the plastics and copper is done? Vacuum and/or vibration? I’m looking for pics or a video that shows the “Inside” of the machine. I find videos of the machines doing the process but that really does not show me or tell me how they work. I’m thinking about trying to fab. one. ….or has anyone build a “homemade wire stripper? If you have or in the process can show you what I did last winter. Maybe we can help each other in design? Problem with going to local scrap yard is they may not have a chopper for wires. their chopper is probally for cars, etc., as for everythingchanges: how does a chopper work,…. Click Here to Read More

Obviously its going to take a long time, and i dont mind that, but i dont know if i would actually get any more money after i lose the weight of the plastics. So do you think the weight of the cable will be 10% copper wire, or 70% wire, or what? thanks for your answers…. Click Here to Read More
