
by York Labour Question by NarcisseNoir: Drying time for oil paints? I painted a plastic mask this morning using oil paints that I thought were acrylic initially. I realized that they were not acrylic about halfway through painting the mask, but I didn’t want to scrap the work I had done on the mask. I used Titanium White and Ivory Black oil paints from a tube, and they were painted in a thin layer, but I forgot to sand the mask down. Is this going to dry/will it dry? I haven’t used oil paints in a good number of years and don’t remember much about drying time. I have been modeling for a long time. But up until now Ive use testors spray paints. Now Ive bought a basic airbrush and was looking for any tips for the beginner. Mainly what to use to thin the different paints. I plan on practicing on scrap before even considering a model.
