Question by Loves Dogs: My rescue dog is getting more destructive every day what should I do? I rescued a 4 year old Golden Retriever/Great Pyranese mix. He has lived outside his whole life, ate table scraps, was matted, no vet, and not attention. We took him into our home and he has done great! Then he started eating the towels in is crate, then he busted out of his crate and ripped my curtains, then he destroyed the plastic tray into shreds. It bled alot and didn’t stop bleeding even after I put alchohol/antibiotics(?) on it & bandaged it. The next morning I changed the bandage but it was still on the verge of bleeding –not clotting very well. The cut is about 1 inch? It’s pretty deep.. maybe 1/4 or 1/3 of an inch; on the palm/skin under the thumb.. it’s been throbbing too. I don’t know the last tetanus vaccination I got was. I have a cat whom I’ve happily had since I was in 2nd grade, but now I’m starting to worry about him. You see, he is a rescued animal, and his previous owner was abusive, put him in plastic bags and blew pot smoke in his face, forced him to eat table scraps, and was just cold hearted to him as a kitten. Ok so I bought an 89 cavalier to drive around in till I got my GTP fixed. Now it’s fixed, what do I do with the cavalier? I paid $180 for it. It’s got a problem with starting, too much fuel gets into the throttle body and not enough air, and it reeks of fuel. Also the plug for the injector is covered in melted goop instead of that accordion-looking plastic piece those plugs are suppose to have. I can get a throttle body from the wrecker for $30 and wire in a not-melted plug, but will that fix the problem? It runs fine, though the oil is black as pitch and surely can’t be doing it much good.
