VIVA PAPER TOWELS aren’t the paper towels they were even five years go. Kimberly-Clark has steadily degraded the quality substantially (but not the price, natch) over the last several years. These towels used to be so plush and soft, they felt like t-shirt material. The latest batch I purchased, which is noticeably different from the previous one, actually feels like sandpaper. Very fine sandpaper, but sandpaper nonetheless. Also, they used to be so strong. Now, I cannot tear one off the roll without ripping it up unless I use both hands, hold the roll, and tear very carefully.
The worst part? They’ve become virtually useless. I used to be able to use them to dry dishes. Now they just move the water around. They’re barely absorbent.
I used to think VIVA PAPER TOWELS were THE premium paper towel on the market. Now, I honestly wouldn’t buy them if they were the only paper towel available. They are that inferior. Another quality Kimberly-Clark product bites the dust.

Although a little pricey, these paper towels are worth it! They are soft enough to use in place of cloth, even on one’s face. They don’t disintegrate, but rather hold together well for heavy duty cleaning.

The VIVA(tm) paper towel is significantly the best paper towel available. Over the years we have purchased nearly every brand and it wasn’t until we decided to try out this product did we realize VIVA was the finest paper towel. We were amazed at the quality of the VIVA(tm) … it is by far the softest and strongest paper towel product available. We have been using VIVA(tm) for over 10 years now … In these tough times we are tempted to buy the least expensive products at the Market … but there is one product that we haven’t changed … and that is the VIVA(tm) paper towels !!! No, I don’t own stock in the Company !!
